In Depth About Michael
My name is Michael John Bliss Jr. I grew up in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, about 30 minutes east of Pittsburgh. I am 20 years old, and I am studying at Penn State University in my junior year. Some of my hobbies include playing guitar, singing, and acting.
At Penn State, I am a junior majoring in accounting, but I am also a member of our Corporate Control and Analysis (CCA) program in which I have small, CCA-only courses with a focus on managerial accounting. Additionally, I plan to take the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) exam during my senior year. My current course-load consists of managerial accounting, financial accounting, and other business related courses. I am also involved with a club of CCA peers which gives me access to numerous exclusive corporate recruitment and networking events, student mentorship, and professional development insight. My current cumulative GPA of 3.76 is also a good sign of my academic achievement.
I also had a valuable accounting internship last summer with a Pittsburgh company Alps Controls last summer. During this time, I received invoices from vendors and used the company’s software to generate invoices to be sent to customers for payment. I also communicated with vendors regarding missing invoices and sorted data using Excel for coworkers in the accounting department and the company’s president.
I am currently seeking an internship position in the field of accounting for the summer of 2018. I would be interested in any location in the United States, so please learn more about me through this website and feel free to contact me.
